ABMCares: Community, philanthropy, wellness
Giving back is fundamental to who we are. Our caring employees and their generosity for giving back defines us as a culture and a company. The ABM Cares program encourages and supports team members to volunteer, donate, and participate in wellness activities so they can support our Make a Difference mission.
ABM aims to positively impact the communities where we live, work and play. We believe in supporting charitable causes that are important to our people. Through ABMCares, we are doing just that with additional benefits to our staff and management employees, including:

Culture & Inclusion Council
Team member-led and executive leader-sponsored, this council develops organizational priorities that nurture an inclusive workplace and drive meaningful change. They focus on ensuring diverse representation across all levels and departments at ABM.
ABM Impact Groups
These team member groups work to inspire a culture where differences drive innovative solutions for our clients and communities. Each group promotes the sharing and acceptance of varied ideas and perspectives, and positive change in the workplace and beyond. ABM Impact Groups are open to all ABM team members, regardless of gender or sexual identity.
ThinkSafe Culture
Every workday, every shift… from cleaning windows to installing electrical equipment, each of us is aware of what we’re doing and how to do our jobs safely, without harm to ourselves, others, and our surroundings. ABM’s training and processes focus on:
Creating an injury-free work environment for team members, clients, and the public.
Preventing incidents through the proper use of tools, equipment, and supplies.
Recognizing environmental hazards that impact our workplace and the planet.
From new-hire orientation to workplace ergonomics and other safety topics, training videos are mandatory for ABM service employees in their first five days on the job. The videos are in English plus five other languages and also serve as supplemental training and re-training.
True to our culture, we listen to our people, especially those on client sites. Our safety hotline is available 24/7 to report unsafe work conditions or other issues. We’re all eyes and ears on protecting people and property.
