Biotechnology Center
Building and Energy Solutions
This Biotechnology Center is a mixed-use facility that operates as both a conference facility as well as a business incubator for the biotechnology industry.
While building an addition, this client decided to modernize the existing facility, which was originally built in 1991, to maximize energy savings and embrace sustainability. ABM was able to financially justify adding a 32kW photovoltaic solar array which was not included in the original grant funding.
Challenge
The Center needed to optimize energy savings through capital improvements. The improvements needed to be funded by the ARRA grant to meet specific obligations.
